[Profile]
Born in Kochi in 1948, he learned to play the guitar from local guitar maker Mitsuru Tamura in 1963, and after graduating from high school, he began to learn guitar making from him in earnest. In addition to his original models, he also makes Hauser I models, Bouchet models, and a modern style with waffle construction. Each model is characterized by its quick response and rich sound, and the high level of craftsmanship is also an outstanding feature. His work
is highly trusted by concert guitarists, and many professional guitarists own his guitars.

[Description]
SKW-45 2016 No.1537 by Ikkoh Kawada has just arrived, a contemporary model with a waffle structure (lattice bars) inside the sound board. It is a piece that shows his excellent technique and sense of balance, as he also shows substantial work in traditional styles such as Hauser and Bouchet.
The sound is characterized by the loudness inherent in the waffle construction as well as a raw, woody sound. The acoustic balance is well integrated and flat from bass to treble.Although there is some variation in the sound quality of each string, the synergy between the dry sound and its rawness gives it an appealing vintage feel. The rough sound has various changes in expression, and it is wonderful that the quality of the model has been pursued in terms of expressiveness. There are a few scratches on the treble side of the sound hole, but the rest of the instrument is in good condition. There are no cracks or other major repairs.
