[Profile]
Mahito Yokoo was born in Saitama Prefecture in 1975. His father, Shunsuke Yokoo (1946-2023), was also a guitar maker. After studying woodworking at a technical college, he began training under his father in guitar making in 1997, and in 2002, he went to Spain to attend a guitar-making workshop led by the world famous master craftsman Jose Luis Romanillos, where he learned Spanish guitar-making techniques. After returning to Japan, he started making his own original guitars under his own label in 2008, and continues to this day.

[Description]
Mahito Yokoo's No. 50 640 mm scale 2018 is now in stock. This guitar is the top model in his lineup and is made of Madagascar rosewood on the back and sides, with a ceder sound board. The body size is a bit large, but the weight is light, and the sound is responsive. The sound is full and powerful, with just the right amount of sweetness. However, it does not have the mid-bass to bass-heavy sound that one would expect from a ceder guitar, and the overall acoustic balance is surprisingly flat from bass to treble.
The total playability of this model is also high, making it a good choice for beginners.
There is no major repair history. There is a string strike at the 3rd string position under the bridge, as well as 1-3 mm dents throughout in several places. Other than that, the instrument remains in very clean condition.
