Born in Itako City, Ibaraki Prefecture in 1941.
He studied guitar playing under Yukihiro Yokoo.
Introduced by Mr. Yokoo, he started making classical guitar under Mr. Tsunezaburo Kurosawa in 1962.
In 1964 he started making under Mr. Morio Tazaki.
He has opened his own workshop in 1968 and started guitar making in Toda City, Saitama Prefecture.
He has now moved to Kazo City, continues to produce.

Katsumi Arai 2002 used goods have arrived. There are some scratches on the front plate, but the back plate is almost intact. Others have no history of cracking. There is a fret exchange history. There are some dents on the back of the neck, but there is no problem in playing.
