[Profile]
A maker living in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture. He learned guitar making from Seiichi Nobe, son of Shoji Nobe, and currently continues to make guitars steadily, doing all the processes by hand, while seeking advice from Kaoru Ono. He is devoted to traditional guitars of the first half of the 20th century, such as Hauser I, Enrique Garcia, and Francisco Simplicio, and mainly makes replica models of them.
The rustic look and tone of his all-serac guitars are popular among beginners, and although he produces only one guitar a year or so, he is one of the makers that AURA continues to introduce strongly.

[Description]
We are pleased to announce the arrival of a new Häuser I model 2022 No.12 made by Shoichi Yanai. It is built based on the famous 1937 Segovia model by Hermann Hauser I. It has a strong sound typical of Hauser, and the unique sound emission has been reproduced. Like all of Yanai's previous guitars, this model still has a pleasant rustic woody sound and a very refreshing expression. However, it also has the necessary power, including volume. The entire body is finished in delicate shellac, which, combined with the well-designed details, gives the guitar a dignified appearance. The neck is comfortable in the hand and matches Japanese preferences in terms of playability. This is a very substantial Hauser I model in this price range, and is a standout among Mr. Yanai's recent works.
