Born in 1946 in Japan Oita Prefecture. After graduating from high school in 1964, he studied under Masaru Kono at the suggestion of his uncle, Yukihiro Yokoo. In 1972, he set up his own workshop. He produces solidly built guitars with a cashew finish, which is a true reflection of the fact that he is Kono's apprentice. All of his current models are well received for their excellent total balance. He is currently making guitars with his son, Masato (1975-), in the same workshop.

We are pleased to announce the arrival of the Prelude cedar 2018 made by Shunsuke Yokoo. This model is the entry-level model of this brand, but it has a high quality sound and playability. It has a rich resonance and a thick, lustrous treble, characteristic of cedar wood, and it is also very loud. It has a slightly hard, rigid sound characteristic of cashew-finished instruments and a powerful tone. The adaptability of the right hand touch is wide and full in terms of expressive ability, and the fact that it can be played without stress is desirable for beginners.
There are no cracks or other major repairs. There are a few play marks around the soundhole, but they do not detract from the appearance and the overall condition is good.
