[Profile]
Born in Granada, Spain in 1960. Antonio Marin Montero, a master craftsman of Granada, is his uncle. In 1974, when he was 14 years old, he joined Antonio's workshop, where Manuel Bellido was working with Antonio at the time. At first, he was mainly in charge of painting, but he also learned to make guitars little by little.
In 1979, he and Antonio opened their own workshop on the Cuesta del Caidero in Granada, where he built his first guitar at the age of 19. After this, he officially started his career as a maker in the Marin workshop. Since then, he and his uncle Antonio have continued to produce guitars under their own independent label, which they continue to do today.
Jose's guitars are the most authentic example of Granada's current standards, inheriting the construction methods and style of his uncle Antonio, but with his own refined quality in both acoustics and construction.

[Description]
We are pleased to announce the arrival of No. 822, a Bouchet model made by Jose Marin Plasuelo in 2015. Basically, this guitar is based on his uncle Antonio's Bouchet model, but the sound is tighter, with the added hardness of Central and South American rose, which gives it a powerful sound that is synergistic with the powerful sound of his uncle's work, making it a guitar that is typical of the Marin workshop.
Jose Marin's guitars are characterized by their fresh sound and radiating tone in the early stages of production, but as they are played over time, they develop a moderate rigidity (just like a Bouchet) and become guitars with a unique lightness and darkness not found in other Granada School guitars. This is also evident in this work, and the sound with classical shadings is very appealing. It has good separation and exquisite balance.
There are scratches on the treble side of the soundhole and under the bridge, as well as scratches on the back of the neck. The frets have been replaced once, but the neck is in excellent condition.
