[Maker Information]
Born in 1948 in Valencia, Spain. At the age of 15, he began working as an apprentice at the local Valencia workshop Esteve Guitars (Francisco Esteve). Recognized as one of the most skilled craftsmen in the workshop, he was eventually given his own dedicated section within the factory and began developing a lineup of models under his own label.
His workshop consists of fewer than five craftsmen, including his son, and consistently produces high-quality, fully Spanish-made guitars that are shipped both domestically and internationally, earning strong acclaim. The lineup ranges widely—from student models to professional models for concert guitarists, 19th-century style instruments, multi-string models, and modern designs featuring lattice bracing.
In addition to their practical strengths—such as powerful, stress-free projection, clear and expressive tone, and playability that is comfortable even for beginners—each model stands out for its refined design, luxurious finish, and meticulous craftsmanship. As a factory brand, its quality is truly exceptional.
[Instrument Information]
This is a SONATA model made in 2021, with a string length of 650mm.
This particular instrument offers light, agile playability and a lively, bright tone. While the volume, responsiveness, and sustain are average, the overall tonal balance is excellent. It features the brand’s characteristic clarity and expressive tonal color, along with a smooth, stress-free resonance that makes it very pleasant to play. The instrument is also forgiving to the touch and provides easy playability even for beginners.
Finished in polyurethane. The neck has a standard thickness and is straight, with almost no fret wear. The string height is set at 3.5mm on the 1st string and 4.5mm on the 6th string, providing a soft, comfortable tension that makes it easy to play.
Approximately three years have passed since its manufacture, and the guitar remains in overall clean condition. There are minor superficial scratches consistent with normal contact from clothing. There is a string mark near the first-string area of the bridge, and several small dents on the bass-string side near the neck joint on the top, likely caused by golpe technique. All of these are signs of regular playing use, and the finish remains in good condition. There is no history of crack repairs, and the guitar is structurally sound. A lightweight black case is included.
