[Profile]
Jose Romero Garrido was born in Baeza, Andalusia, Spain in 1954. His family moved to Madrid when he was a child, and in 1968, he entered the Ramirez workshop and began his career as a craftsman. After a period of steady training and military service, he re-entered the Ramirez workshop to become a Master Craftsman, and was appointed as a Master Craftsman at the age of 21, after receiving high praise from Ramirez III. After working at the Ramirez workshop for 8 years, he opened his own workshop in Madrid in 1983.
He produces guitars in both classical and flamenco styles, and while they have the rich and massive acoustic characteristics of the Ramirez Madrid school, the clear and sharp sound image gives them a modern feel, and they are especially well received for their flamenco models.

[Description]
We are pleased to announce the arrival of a flamenco Blanca (white) model made by Jose Romero in 1994. The overall construction is solid and of very high total quality, as he was a master craftsman at the Ramirez workshop. The sound is a bit thick for a blanca, but it has a lustrous and dense single tone that is typical of Madrid. The overall hard, clear sound is pleasant, and the attack is strong enough, which is essential for flamenco. The response of the expression is excellent, and the ability to produce a wide variety of changes is appealing.
The sound board and back have been repaired with a 10cm crack, but it has been taken care of properly and will not be a problem for future use. The paint is orange lacquer, which is relatively rare for a Romero.
