[Profile]
Born in Hokkaido, Japan in 1951, he started making guitars in Sapporo in 1973.
In 1980 and 1984, he visited Granada, Spain, to learn from Antonio Marin Montero, a master craftsman there, and after returning to Japan in 1985, he established a workshop in Sendai.
He is often positioned as a direct descendant of the Granada School in Japan because of his training under Antonio Marin, but while based on traditional Spanish guitar construction methods, he is also a highly regarded maker who practices modern-type production methods such as double-top guitars with his own progressive mindset.

[Description]
Model P-17 made by Takashi Miura in 2001 is now in stock, with bear-crowed spruce on the sound board and distinctive grain (probably ziricote) on the back and sides. The head shape is designed by Jose Luis Romanillos, giving it a stylish appearance.
The appearance is strongly Spanish, especially Granada-like. However, the sound is different from the bright and lively sound of Granada guitars, and has a unique sound with a lot of reverb. This is a rare piece of his work in terms of acoustics, as many of his instruments have a rather hard, calm sound.
There are no cracks or other major repair history. The bottom of the instrument has had the out jack removed and the holes filled with wood and the paint touched up. There are some minor scratches throughout, but they are commensurate with the age of the piece.
