[Profile]
Yoshimasa Kuroda was born in 1954 in Hyogo prefecture. He graduated from Ashio Academy of Arts, Department of Design. His own workshop is set up in his hometown of Hyogo prefecture, and he is actively
producing mainly 19th century type models. He has a good reputation for replica models such as Lacote, Fabricatore, and Stauffer, and each guitar has different specifications, so each one is highly
rare. He has a very high level of skill in reproducing the difficult decorations of 19th century guitars. The work finished with his unique painting technique has a very old-fashioned atmosphere. His
acoustic reproducibility is excellent and has been highly praised by romantic guitar lovers. He also makes modern types after Torres.

[Description]
Kuroda mainly produces replicas of 19th century Romantic guitars, but this is a relatively rare Torres model (made in 2003). The rustic finish with shellac on the entire surface is common to 19th century guitar replicas, and has a calm and mellow texture that is typical of Kuroda. The appearance has a vintage feel. This piece has the mellow, echoing sound of the Torres and the natural sound of the wood, making it a truly enjoyable piece.
There are a few scratches around the sound hole and a few more near the bottom of the sound board, and the instrument is in good condition for a 20 year old shellac finish. There are no cracks or other major repairs. The neck may have had a fingerboard adjustment.
