[Profile]
Born in Hokkaido in 1931. He developed an early interest in wood and its processing, and by the time he was a teenager, he wanted to become a carpenter. He worked for the Forestry Agency for 10 years, and then in 1964, out of his deep love for musical instruments and woodworking, he joined Masaru Kohno's workshop in Tokyo. In 1991, he returned to his hometown in Hokkaido, where he continues to work.
He has learned about wood from the nature of Hokkaido, and his experience working with wood has led him to be very particular about the wood he uses. He uses only materials that have been naturally dried for at least 10 years.
His works have a profound sound, backed by a high level of precision in craftsmanship and a love of music. He has been slowly gaining fans without any flashy media publicity. He is also known as the only zither maker in Japan.

[Description]
Hiroshi Komori 1995 Model EX Used is in stock. Although this model is positioned as an entry-level model for this brand, Komori's careful attention to construction and acoustic settings has resulted in a perfect finish. The internal construction is not in the so-called 'Spanish style,' but rather a layout strongly influenced by his mentor, Masaru Kohno.
It has been well played, and there are many scratches around the soundhole. There is a history of crack repair on the side of the fingerboard on the bass side. The paint on the neck and back and sides is a little cloudy, but not enough to detract from the appearance. This is an entry-level model with a thick sound, rich in volume, and enjoyable.
