[Profile]
Born in England in 1941, he studied harpsichord making under Robert Goble. He is known as an intelligent craftsman with a deep knowledge of other instruments and a broad familiarity with European traditions.
He began working as a craftsman in the workshop of David Jose Rubio in 1969, where he was allowed to use the PF stamp as head craftsman (Rubio guitars with the PF stamp are still highly valued by enthusiasts in the second-hand market).
In 1975, he established his own workshop and started making guitars, initially following Rubio's style of construction, but he began to explore the relationship between acoustics and structure from a scientific point of view, and started making guitars with his own unique arrangement of bars. As a result, his guitars are highly refined in tone and acoustics, and have a unique sound with a balanced tone not found in conventional guitars. His guitars were highly acclaimed by many professional guitarists who were particular about acoustic balance, and became one of the best-selling brands in the world at the end of the 20th century.

[Description]
It was made by Paul Fischer in 1979. This model is from the period shortly after he became independent from David Rubio's workshop, and is full of orthodox charm before he later introduced such distinctive models as the Concervatoire and Virtuoso to the world. It still inherits the ear-pleasing warm tone that was characteristic of the Rubio workshop, and has a romantic sound. It also has excellent volume and responsiveness, making it one that anyone can enjoy. The body has probably been repainted with shellac and is in beautiful condition considering its age. The label has Almunus David J.Rubio printed in small letters, indicating that it was still clearly identified as being from the Rubio workshop at that time. The appearance of the piece is noble due to the selection and use of high quality materials.
