[Profile]
Paulino Bernabe I (1932-2007) is a maker in Madrid, Spain. It is well known that he himself played well and learned to play the guitar from Tarrega's disciple Daniel Fortea. As a guitar maker, with the deep trust of José Ramirez III, he has long been the chief craftsman at his workshop, supporting the golden age of this giant brand. After that, he became independent in 1969 and continued to make unique guitars by his own method while inheriting the traditional method, and won the gold medal at the International Craft Expo in Munich in 1974. And he made the ten-string guitar that Narciso Yepes loves. He died in 2007, but now his son has taken over the workshop and is highly regarded as one of the leading brands in Madrid, Spain.

[Description]
We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 1992 model made by Bernabé I. Since around 2000, this brand has expanded its lineup according to the grade of wood used, and has been providing a stable supply of middle class, professional, and extremely high-spec limited editions, making it the workshop with the largest market share among the so-called Ramirez line of Madrid schools.
All of the models are of high quality and fit the tastes of users who seek the dense tones of the Ramirez lineage, and they reflect Bernabé's sense of the times and the high skill of the workshop staff. This piece was made before Bernabé began developing such a brand, and although there is no model name, it is a spec model that corresponds to the Especial model of today.
Its powerful sound has a great impact, and its power is comparable to that of a Fleta. However, compared to the romantic sound of the Ramirez, it is much more stoic.
The entire instrument has been repainted with lacquer and has few scratches for such a 30-year-old instrument. There is no history of cracks or other major repairs. The strings are very soft and feel easy to play.
