[Profile]
Born in 1939 in Seville, Spain, Francisco Barba began his career as a carpenter working with his father. However, at the age of 17, he decided to dedicate himself fully to the craft of guitar making. Self-taught, he honed his skills and quickly became one of the most respected luthiers in Spain, earning a reputation alongside contemporaries like Manuel Reyes. Known for his meticulous craftsmanship and the elegant design of his instruments, Francisco Barba has become a true master of the craft. Today, he continues to build guitars at his workshop in Seville, where he works alongside his two sons, Juan and José. Despite the passing of time, the workshop remains as dedicated to creating exceptional guitars as it was when Francisco first began his career.
