[Profile]
José González López was born in 1961 in Granada, Spain, where he was raised. Initially, he pursued a career unrelated to guitar-making, but in 1989, at the age of 28, he entered the workshop of Antonio Marín Montero after marrying the sister of José Marín Plásero. Under the guidance of Antonio and José, he honed his craft for nearly 10 years, and in 1999, he completed his first guitar under his own label. The sound and craftsmanship of José González's guitars are firmly rooted in the traditions of Antonio Marín Montero’s philosophy, both in construction techniques and acoustics, while his own exceptional woodworking skills add a level of refinement to the instruments. These guitars have earned high international acclaim, standing alongside the great works of his mentors. Today, José González López continues to produce guitars with great energy and dedication in his workshop, representing one of the most prestigious brands in Granada.
