[Instrument Information]
This is a “30th Anniversary” model built in 1987. It features a traditional and well-balanced configuration, with a spruce top and solid Central and South American rosewood back and sides. The guitar is set to a standard 650 mm scale length.
While not flashy, the instrument is characterized by a calm and mature tonal quality, offering a deep, well-seasoned resonance developed over many years. The volume is moderate yet well balanced, and the response is quick and articulate, allowing the player’s musical intentions to be expressed with clarity. With a wide dynamic range and comfortable playability, it is well suited to a variety of playing styles.
The guitar is finished in lacquer and fitted with Rogers tuning machines. The neck shows a moderate forward relief, providing excellent playability, and the frets remain in good condition. The string height is set at 3.6 mm on the 1st string and 4.1 mm on the 6th string.
More than 30 years have passed since its construction, and fine lacquer checking can be seen throughout the instrument. This is a natural result of aging and adds to its character; there is no history of major repairs such as cracks. The dry, mature tone and composed resonance that can only be achieved with time are the greatest attractions of this guitar. A hard case is included.
