[Description]
This is a specially selected gut-string guitar crafted by Iwao Kanayama. The year of production is unknown. It features a spruce soundboard and laminated rosewood back and sides.
There are some scratches and dents throughout the instrument.
The string height is set at 2.6 mm on the 1st string and 3.0 mm on the 6th string at the 12th fret—relatively low for a classical guitar—making it easy on the left hand.
Despite its all-laminate construction, it produces a warm, rounded tone with a distinct vintage character.
