[Profile]
Masaji Nobe was born in 1935. Nobe Guitar Workshop was started by his father, a Tokyo-based cabinetmaker, who repaired guitars.
Masaji Nobe became independent in 1965 and started his own workshop. As a family that is descended from Edo-style craftsmen, Nobe Guitar workshop is characterized by its selection of high-quality wood, high craftsmanship, sense of design, and tasteful finish of the exterior.
The tone of the guitar is just as rich as its appearance, and while it is based on the Spanish guitar, it is distinctly different from the more glamorous guitars, and has an unmistakable character with the dignity of smoked silver.

[Description]
Masaji Nobe No.20 1984 No.20 is now in stock. Unusually for this brand, it is finished with a solid construction with all-over cashew coating. It differs from his high-spec models with a calm atmosphere both in terms of appearance and tone, and is considered to have been produced for a wider range of users.
All notes are solid, with a bright, powerful sound and a delicate expression. The sense of depth from mid bass to low bass is reminiscent of his high-spec models and is one of the charms of this instrument.
The soundhole area has many scratches from playing, but they are commensurate with the age of the instrument. The saddle has an adjustable width of about 2mm, so the string height can be lowered further.
