Born in 1947 in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. After graduating from university, he visited several guitar studios in Granada, Spain, and after returning to Japan, he learned guitar making from Yukinobu Chachi and violin making from Tetsuo Matsuda.
In 1984, he opened a workshop in Sanada, Nagano Prefecture, and in addition to guitars, he also makes violins, viola da gamba, lutes, and ukuleles, and is highly regarded in each field. He is also well known for his enthusiasm for teaching younger generations, and has produced such prominent young craftsmen as Jun Nakano, Masahiro Tanabe, and Taro Maruyama.

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 19th century type guitar, Fabbricatore model made by Sakae Ishii in 2004. It has the tone and construction characteristics of a Romantic guitar, while at the same time achieving a high total quality.
It is based on a typical model of the Fabbricatore family, one of the best stringed instrument workshops in Italy, and all the necessary conditions are fulfilled, such as the famous Neapolitan fingerboard (the fingerboard after the 12th fret is embedded at the same height as the sound board), the botanical design on the sides of the bridge, and the graceful curves of the overall design.
The tone is rustic and dry, creating an elegant atmosphere. The string height is appropriate and easy to play, and this model is recommended for those who play 19th century guitars for the first time.
There are only a few minor play marks around the sound hole, but the rest of the guitar is in very good condition with no cracks or other repairs. Comes with its own hard case.
