[Profile]
Born in Hokkaido in 1931. He developed an early interest in wood and its processing, and by the time he was a teenager, he wanted to become a carpenter. He worked for the Forestry Agency for 10 years, and then in 1964, out of his deep love for musical instruments and woodworking, he joined Masaru Kohno's workshop in Tokyo. In 1991, he returned to his hometown in Hokkaido, where he continues to work.
He has learned about wood from the nature of Hokkaido, and his experience working with wood has led him to be very particular about the wood he uses. He uses only materials that have been naturally dried for at least 10 years.
His works have a profound sound, backed by a high level of precision in craftsmanship and a love of music. He has been slowly gaining fans without any flashy media publicity. He is also known as the only zither maker in Japan.
[Description]
We are pleased to announce the arrival of the high-end model No. 80 made by Hiroshi Komori. While showing the influence of Kohno guitars, it is a massive piece of guitar with a sense of deep pride as a craftsman. The fine and delicate rosette and purfling designs in red, black, and brown tones are well matched with the overall orange paint job, creating a stylish appearance. It has a very powerful sound, but the overall sound image is mellow, and the large touch range allows the guitar to be played with ease and comfort.
There is a slight bump on the soundboard on the side of the fingerboard, but it is not cracked at present. There are a few shallow scratches on the back and sides, and the finish has become cloudy due to humidity, but there are no problems with the guitar as it is now.
