[Profile]
The brand has a workshop in Misato, Saitama Prefecture. His father is Masaji Nobe and Kuniharu Nobe is his uncle. His younger brother, Seiichi Nobe, is also a guitar craftsman and runs his own store dealing in guitars as well as antique furniture. Masafumi and his brother learned manufacturing and repairing at his father's workshop, and after Masaji passed away in 2004, Masafumi took over the workshop and shipped guitars under the 'Masafumi Nobe' label.
The guitars have the austere appearance and modest expression of their father, and their style is firmly in line with the brand's aesthetic. The guitars are popular because of the family's commitment to wood, which is unique to the family of traditional craftsmen, and the flexible pursuit of ease of playability for the Japanese, and are beginning to gain recognition overseas along with their father.

[Description]
Masafumi Nobe 2011 No.115 is in stock. It is a lovable and fine product with the characteristics of the Nobe brand. The deep, glossy, candy-colored appearance, reminiscent of antique furniture, is eye-catching, and the sound also has a calm expression. Unlike the power and sharpness of modern concert guitars, Masafumi has truly inherited his father Masaji Nobe's philosophy of making guitars, seeking a mellow sound that is pleasing to the ear. While Masaji's instrument is full of deep power, this guitar has a unique modesty that creates contrasts of light and dark, but never becomes too flamboyant. However, the solid character of the bass is very attractive and brings a sense of stability to the performance.
The fingerboard has a slightly rounded surface that is very comfortable to hold, and the strings are moderately tensioned, so the left hand does not feel stressed. The neck has 20 frets. There are some scratches and marks commensurate with its age, but they do not detract from its appearance, and there is no history of major repairs such as cracks. The saddle adjustment range is currently 2-3mm, so it is possible to lower the string height.
