[Profile]
Jose Ortega was born in the 1860s and probably died in the early 1900s. He seems to have had a workshop in Granada, where he worked with his son, Nicolas Ortega Ruiz, and his apprentice, Benito Ferrer. It is well known that Federico Garcia Lorca, Spain's national poet, owned one of his guitars.

[Description]
There are some cracks and repairs, but they have been properly repaired and are in good playing condition. The neck is also in good condition and the string height has been adjusted for easy playing. The slim body was designed with Torres in mind, and the sound is deep but bright, and the quick response of the small body is very appealing. The tuning machines have been replaced with Sloan (made in the USA).
