Simon Ambridge (1951-Dartington, Devon, England)
Born in London in 1951. Born in a venerable furniture craftsman's house from the 18th century, he learned woodworking techniques and at the same time learned graphic design and devoted himself to creative activities. When he was young, he swept the world under the influence of pop music and seemed to be interested in guitars. The guitar he made in 1978 was also a replica model of Martin 45 type. But at the same time, at the age of two, he made a Torres-style classical guitar with the full advice of Kevin Alam, who had already solidified his position as a manufacturer at the time. He continued to work as a furniture maker in London, but in the late 1980s, with the consent of the Craft Council, he set up an independent workshop in Devon, southern England. He began his career as a classical guitar maker (Jose Romanillos, David Rubio, Paul Fisher, etc. were among the deliberation members). Since the 1990s, his guitar has steadily gained international acclaim and is still in active production. The Torres and Hauser models are highly regarded for their traditional style, such as the Torres model that inspired them to make classical guitars. We also have a lineup of original models of traditional yet highly functional guitars that meet the needs of modern concert guitarists, with a unique fusion of the essence of Spanish master craftsmen influenced by the early 20th century. It has become a popular model.

[Instrument information]
There are some scratches and dents on the surface plate and the back of the neck. The surface plate is probably top-coated with shellac. The back plate has some uneven coating on the part that hits the chest when playing. It has been fully struck, and there is wear on the frets, especially on the 1st to 7th floors, but there is no problem in playing. 20 fret specifications. The bridge string hole is a double hole specification. The spool is made by Rogers.
