[Profile]
Born in Yamanashi in 1970, Taro Maruyama studied guitar making under Sakae Ishii from 1995, and then went to Spain to learn directly from Jose Luis Romanillos at the Guitar Festival in Cordoba in 1998. After returning to Japan in 1999, he began studying guitar making under Nagano-based maker Hitomi Nagasawa. In 2008, he moved his workshop to Aichi Prefecture, where he continues to build guitars. In Spain, he learned to play flamenco guitar as a performer, and now he is both building and performing guitars. His guitars are based on the traditional Spanish construction method, and are characterized by a graceful tone, which is always highly evaluated by users.

[Description]
A rare used Taro Maruyama classic model from 2003 has just arrived. It was made only a few years after returning from Spain, but it is a very high quality classical guitar. The head design is stylish and the shellac finish is high quality. The tone is a little hard but rich in nuance, the sound is stress-free, the balance between low, middle and high notes is good, and the overall sound is dignified. The volume is sufficient. We recommend it as a very good quality handcrafted guitar. There are some rub marks on the back, but other than that, the guitar is in good condition with no major repair history. There are no problems with the neck, frets, tuning machines, or any other parts related to playability.
