Profile
Jun was born in Matsumoto, Nagano in 1966. He went to Mexico in 1989 and met the guitar-maker Lucio Núñez at San Miguel de Allende. This encounter led him to guitar-making. From 1992 he studied under Sakae Ishii. In 1996, he went to Granada, Spain and studied under Antonio Marin, and returned to Japan after having been given three secrets in Spanish guitar-making. Afterwards, he established his own atelier in his birthplace, Matsumoto. After becoming independent, Jun used the traditional Granadian method for guitarmaking and made homemade ornaments such as rosetta from dyeing to construction. Later on, he participated in a Jose Luis Romanillos masterclass. He created a high-precision Torres model after having
been inspired by Torres. With this model he has earned huge acclaim.
